The indirect method is most used in the decoration of swimming pools, bathrooms, flooring, tables etc. Tesserae are first pasted, face downwards onto a paper sheet bearing the reversed design. This method produces a flat and smooth surface ideal for floors.
The materials are: limestone and marble, or “smalti” and gold. (Smalti is obtained by the fusion and the subsequent cooling of a mixture of silica, alkali and metal oxides and colouring agents.)
The course has a total duration of 40 hours. The cost is €600. (See comparative table)
